Tampa Bay personnel appointments, promotions and announcements

FKQ Advertising + Marketing Inc., Clearwater, announces these promotions and a new addition to the company: David Stob has been promoted to media supervisor and will supervise media planning and buying assignments for multiple local and national accounts. He has more than 11 years of experience and has developed effective media campaigns for clients in CPG, QSR, education and grocery industries. Marc Merton has been promoted to senior systems engineer, responsible for the planning, implementation and maintenance of FKQ's computers and network infrastructure. This includes the implementation and design of hardware and software, as well as monitoring the performance of systems. And Jennifer Barilla has been appointed an interactive project manager. She has more than 18 years of experience in production, digital program management and interactive marketing strategy.

Banking

Falene Ellis has been promoted to vice president, human resources manager, at Sunshine Bancorp Inc., Plant City. Ellis will be oversee human resources responsibilities, including compensation and benefits. Ellis has over 20 years of experience in human resources and banking, and joined Sunshine Bank in July in the merger with Community Southern Bank, where she managed the human resources functions.

Insurance adjusters

Michael Stabile has joined Tutwiler & Associates Public Adjusters' Tampa office. Stabile will handle residential and commercial claim assignments throughout the state of Florida. Stabile will be helping policyholders file, manage and settle their property insurance claims. He previously worked at Northwestern Mutual as a financial adviser, and before that was employed by Sears as an operations manager.

Legal

GrayRobinson, Tampa, announces the following new lawyers to the firm: Valeen Arena, who concentrates in the areas if construction, government and litigation law; Adrienne Kendall, joining the real estate and banking and finance law practices; and Sunai Edwards, who will focus on banking and finance law. Arena earned her bachelor of arts degree in criminology and law with honors from the University of Florida and earned her juris doctorate with honors from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She has worked as a summer intern for Judge Anthony E. Porcelli of the Middle District of Florida and also in the Florida Office of the Attorney General. Kendall earned her undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Florida in recreation, parks and tourism. In May, she graduated with highest honors from Florida State University College of Law, where she was a member of the Florida State University Law Review. Edwards earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University. In May 2014, she graduated from Stetson University College of Law and interned for the Honorable Susan C. Bucklew of U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Nonprofit

Suzanne Livesay has been named vice president of education at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa. Livesay is responsible for leading all Straz Center education programs, including the Patel Conservatory, community outreaches, Conservatory-to-Go programs and field trips. Livesay joined the Patel Conservatory as theater chairwoman in 2014 and recently served as interim managing director for several months while a national search for a vice president of education was conducted. Livesay holds a bachelor's degree in musical theater from Stetson University in DeLand and a master's degree in education from Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss.

Universities

Stephen Miciak has been named enrollment coordinator for Troy University at its Tampa location. Before joining Troy University, he served in multiple higher education positions. A former principal and professor, Miciak is a retired Navy chief petty officer, serving over 20 years in the Navy. He earned his bachelor's of science degree in workforce education from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and his master's degree in educational leadership from Argosy University in Sarasota.
