St. Petersburg might be losing its reputation as "God's waiting room," but Tampa Bay is still a top retirement destination, a WalletHub study shows.

According to the study, Tampa is the second best city in the country for retirement, sandwiched between Orlando at No. 1 and Miami at No. 3.

Cities were ranked based on quality of life, affordability, recreational opportunities and health care.

Tampa ranked at No. 7 in terms of affordability and No. 10 for activities.
