A Pinellas County lawyer has been disbarred and a Hillsborough attorney suspended in recent disciplinary actions by Florida's Supreme Court. Stephen Proctor Tourtelot of St. Petersburg is barred from practicing law due to several instances in which he failed to diligently perform services for which he had been hired, failed to communicate with clients or failed to produce documentation of the fees charged.
Mayowa F. Odusanya of Tampa was suspended for six months on similar grounds and also for filing a motion in which he made derogatory comments about a client, a Florida Bar attorney and other current and former Bar employees. He must attend ethics school and a trust accounting workshop, and must submit to a mental health evaluation prior to reinstatement.
