TAMPA — Michelle Guy, a former employee of HSBC Mortgages Services in Brandon, admits in a plea agreement that she stole $2.2 million in gift cards from her company's in-house rewards program.

If found guilty, she faces up to 30 years in prison on each of two charges: mail fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.

Guy's husband, Kevin, already admitted to conspiring with her, and a magistrate judge accepted his plea. He faces up to five years in prison. His sentencing date has not yet been scheduled, and his wife's plea must still be accepted by a judge.
