RIVERVIEW — The body of a man who appeared to have suffered upper-body trauma was found inside his home on Friday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

His name was not released by the agency. But deputies said he appears to be in his 20s or 30s and had lived in the home for less than a year.

A woman called 911 at about 8:45 a.m. to report a “man down,” according to the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies went to a home in the 9000 block of White Barn Way, in Riverview’s Boyette Farms neighborhood, and discovered the man had died.

No one else was inside the home at the time of his death and there does not appear to be any risk to the public, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A cause of death was not released by deputies, who said the man suffered upper-body trauma. The investigation is continuing.
