WESLEY CHAPEL — On his ministry’s website, Stephen Grosso pledges lives will be “touched and changed” through the power of God.
Grosso, 61, might’ve taken that promise a little too far Monday.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, A 16-year-old girl stopped the car she was driving for a school bus. Grosso got mad when he thought she was riding too close to him. So, he got out of the car and flashed a badge at her. She thought it was a gold police badge. It was actually Grosso’s “Christian affiliation" badge.
Grosso, an ordained minister, runs the Ablaze Worldwide Ministries with his wife Sophie, according to the Ablaze website.
Grosso then reached into the car and used his badge to hit the girl in the forehead, deputies said. Then he drove away.
Deputies caught up with the minister later that day and arrested him on a felony charge of burglary with simple assault.
