Pinellas deputies have arrested a man they say was running a drug house.
The house is located at 6921 49th Ave. N, which is in an unincorporated area of Pinellas County that is a little northwest of Kenneth City. Arrest reports state that Leon Clifton Jackson, 31, was selling crack cocaine from the house. Deputies made “multiple purchases” of crack cocaine from the home, according to arrest reports.
Those buys gave deputies probable cause to get a search warrant, which they executed on Tuesday morning, arrest reports state.
Reports say deputies found about 5 ounces of cocaine and other drugs, including ecstasy and oxycodone. Arrest reports state they also found “a Smith & Wesson Bodyguard firearm (38 special) consistent with drug dealing.”
Jackson was arrested on single counts of operating a drug house, armed trafficking of cocaine and multiple counts of drug possession. He was booked into the Pinellas County jail just before noon Tuesday.
He was released about 7:30 p.m. after posting $59,000 bail, records show.
Jackson also is facing multiple charges of sale and possession of crack cocaine stemming from an August arrest. He was released from jail after that arrest after he posted $24,000 bail, court records show.
He is still awaiting trial on those charges. He has not entered a formal plea on any of the charges -- either from August or this month -- as of Wednesday morning, records show.
