Video: St. Pete police searching for suspect in Dec. 12 murder

The St. Petersburg police department is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect caught on surveillance video getting out of a black vehicle near the scene of a murder.

Police previously released footage of a man on foot.

Jason Carr, 24, of St. Petersburg was shot the morning of Dec. 12 in the parking lot of Duncan Roofs located at 2570 25th Ave. North. Carr was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his wounds. Public records from September 2014 list Carr as an employee at the roofing company.

While the suspects face is not visible in the video, police hope someone will recognize the gait or clothing of the individual. Anyone with information related to the murder is asked to call (727)893-7780.
