Two Hillsborough County men face burglary and theft charges after deputies said they went on a package-stealing spree last weekend.
Emmanuel Camacho Contreras, 29, and Carlos Spindola-Abreu, 26, both face charges of burglary and grand theft, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Contreras also faces a charge of petit theft, and Spindola-Abreu had outstanding warrants for burglary and theft.
Deputies arrested the two men as they left their apartment Wednesday, according to a news release. They also said the men were renting the apartment — as well as furniture and electronics — fraudulently and that they found fraudulently printed checks inside.
Among the items the men stole, deputies said, were two TVs that had been taken after being delivered to an address in Tampa. They also found several Amazon and U.S. Postal Service packages with shipping labels still on them. Pictures provided by the Sheriff’s Office shows that items deputies recovered include a baby formula maker, Beats headphones and Apple AirPods, various tablets and other electronics.
Deputies also found a computer, printing equipment and check-printing paper, they said. The investigation is ongoing.
