Pinellas County man charged with operating a drug house

A Pinellas County has been arrested on multiple charges, including that he was running a drug house in the 5900 block of 71st Street N, which is just northwest of the Lealman area.

Joseph Jason Russell Day, 32, was arrested Tuesday on charges of possessing cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana and trazadone, which is an anti-depressant. Pinellas deputies also added the “operating a drug house” charge, which is a felony.

Pinellas sheriff’s deputies arrested Day after serving a search warrant at a home he occupied at 5989 71st St. N. They obtained the search warrant after undercover transactions with Day, arrest reports state.

While serving the warrant, deputies found about three grams of cocaine, which was in clear plastic bags “packaged ready for sale,” reports state.

Arrest reports state deputies also found a stolen motorcycle at the home and charged Day with grand theft auto.

Bail was set at $24,250 and Day was released after posting bail just before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
