Man in critical condition after machete attack in Pinellas Park

A man is in critical condition at a local hospital after another man attacked him with a machete Sunday night in Pinellas Park.

Police said the incident occurred about 11 p.m. at 10191 66th Street N. Two men were fighting and one attacked the other with a machete.

Police said the victim was taken to the hospital. The attacker ran away and remains at large, police said.

Police said the two men knew each other but didn’t release other details about the incident.
