Tampa woman arrested on DUI manslaughter charge after crash on Adamo Drive

Tampa police said Tanaya Marcia Davis was driving west on Adamo just before 2 a.m. Friday when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into the side of another vehicle.

A 35-year-old Tampa woman is facing a DUI manslaughter charge in connection with a crash on on Adamo Drive early Friday morning in which another person was killed.

Tampa police said Tanaya Marcia Davis was driving west on Adamo just before 2 a.m. Friday when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway and crashed into the side of another vehicle. A person inside the vehicle she hit was killed, police said. No other information about the victim was immediately available.

Police noted that Davis showed signs of impairment and arrested her. Tests showed she had a blood alcohol count of .143 and .137, records show. Florida law presumes impairment at 0.08.

Davis was booked at the Hillsborough County jail. Bail was set at $7,500 and she was released Sunday, records show.
