A Pasco County man faces nine charges of possession of child pornography after the file hosting service Dropbox reported hundreds of files of suspected child pornography connected to his account, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.
David Faulkenberry, 21, of Hudson, was arrested Friday, according to court records. Bail for each charge was set at $5,000 and he was released later that day.
Deputies investigated Faulkenberry based on a tip from Dropbox, received through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to an arrest report. Dropbox reported 732 files connected to Faulkenberry’s account that it suspected of containing child pornography.
After getting a warrant to search his home for cell phones and computers, deputies said they found one cell phone with an SD card containing thousands of pornographic videos and pictures. Deputies determined that nine videos depicted child pornography.
No court dates for Faulkenberry have been set, court records show. He was also arrested last month on a marijuana possession charge.
