Tampa police find three killed by gunfire

Officers found the bodies of two men and one woman. The shooting may be an act of domestic violence, according to police.

TAMPA — Three people were found shot dead Monday evening in the New Tampa area in what may be an act of domestic violence, police said.

The incident was reported as a “possible domestic disturbance involving a gun,” according to Tampa police. Officers were dispatched at about 5:44 p.m. to the Morgan Creek Apartments, 17200 Madison Green Drive.

When officers arrived at the scene they found three people who had been fatally wounded by gunfire. Two of the deceased are men and one is a woman.

The shooting was not a random act, police said.

No other information about the victims or the investigation was released by police.
