Tampa man suffers multiple gunshot wounds, dies

TAMPA — A man died after he was found Wednesday night with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of a north Tampa apartment complex, police said.

Officers responded at about 10:20 p.m. to a report of a shooting at the Charles Scruggs Manor apartments at 11201 N 22nd.

When they found the man, he was “unresponsive,” according to Tampa police.

The man, whose name has not been released, died at a local hospital.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be random. The investigation is continuing. No other details were released.
