Largo police officers shoot, wound man during domestic incident

LARGO — Police officers shot and wounded a man Tuesday while responding to a domestic incident involving a weapon, according to Largo police.

The incident took place at about 9:40 a.m. somewhere along Kent Drive N, police said.

The wounded man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. He was reported to be in stable condition that afternoon.

The officers involved in the incident were not injured, said Largo police Lt. Scott Gore.

Police did not release the name of the officers, or any other details about what led to the shooting.

The investigation is continuing, police said.
