TAMPA — Deputies are looking for a man accused of setting a car dealership on fire on Wednesday morning.

The incident took place at about 5:55 a.m. at the King of Carz dealership at 7010 E Fowler Ave., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Surveillance video showed a man breaking into the building, then lighting and throwing a “Molotov cocktail-style bottle” into the building, deputies said. Then he poured an “accelerant” onto the floor and ran away before “flames engulfed the building,” deputies said.

The Sheriff’s Office did not say if any vehicles at the dealership were damaged in the fire, or give a cost estimate for the damage.

The man was described as having dreadlocks and a full beard, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was estimated to stand about 5-foot-5 to 6 feet tall and weigh approximately 160 pounds. He was seen wearing a light-colored long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, black running shoes and had a T-shirt wrapped around his head.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at (813) 247-8200.
