BROOKSVILLE — The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a 47-year-old woman whose body was found before dawn Sunday beside a highway southeast of Brooksville.
Deputies were called about 5 a.m. to Spring Lake Highway just south of Hayman Road to investigate a report of a person down, according to a Sheriff'‘s Office news release.
The death has been labeled suspicious.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen a vehicle in the area around this time or who may have information to contact Detective Tom Breedlove at (352) 754-6830.
