WIMAUMA — A 66-year-old man was arrested Saturday after reports that he was waving a handgun at vehicles while walking down a road in Wimauma.
At 11:49 a.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a number of calls about the man walking near Railroad Street and State Road 674. Deputies arrived within minutes and located the armed man walking south on Railroad Street.
Eric Ricardo Felder, 66, was still holding and carelessly waving a Smith & Wesson .38 Special revolver in one hand and a bottle of beer in the other, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
Deputies took Felder into custody without incident. He faces charges of felon in possession of a firearm, two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a firearm while intoxicated, improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon, and resisting arrest without violence.
