Two people died early Saturday morning following a shooting in Parkwood Estates, a mobile home community near Plant City.
Deputies responded to the shooting at 2 a.m. and found an adult and a juvenile had been shot, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Ambulances took the pair to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Detectives have identified and accounted for suspects in the shooting but were withholding their names because no arrests have been made, said Jessica Lang, a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office. Detectives believe the shooting was drug-related, Lang said.
The agency declined to release the names of the victims, citing Marsy’s Law.
