Getting ready

Choice fairs give students and parents a chance to meet representatives from every one of the programs offered by the Pinellas County school district for 2020-21. The schedule:

• Nov. 2: 9-11:30 a.m. Pinellas Park High, 6305 118th Ave. N, Largo

Taking a tour

• Oct. 30-Dec. 18: Dozens of Discovery Nights are scheduled throughout the next few weeks to give families a chance to visit individual schools, meet faculty and staff and learn about programs in more detail. Discovery nights for each program are listed in this guide. The schedule also is available at pcsb.org/choice.

Applying

• Jan. 8, 2020: First day to apply for a choice program. Parents must use the Student Reservation System at reservation.pcsb.org. After entering their User ID and password, obtained at any school, they can select up to five programs.

• Jan. 17: Last day to apply.

• Feb. 10-21: Period when families can accept invitations to programs for which they have applied. Failure to accept an invitation will render a student’s application invalid.
