Schools will be closed Thursday in Hillsborough County because of Tropical Storm Nicole, officials said Wednesday.
“To preserve our Thanksgiving break, the makeup day will be Jan. 9,” the district said in a tweet. “Please remember Friday, November 11th there is already no school due to Veterans Day.” Students will return to school on Monday, Nov. 14.
Pasco County also is keeping schools closed on Thursday. Officials in Pinellas said they will decide no later than 4 p.m..
