Hillsborough appoints new principals at 7 schools starting in the fall

The school board approved the selections at its meeting on Tuesday.

The Hillsborough County School Board on Tuesday approved principal appointments at seven schools for the 2023-24 academic year.

Gregory Basham, 52, comes to King High from Rodgers Middle School. He joined the school district in 2006.

Camilla Burton, an assistant principal at Brandon High, will be the new principal at Middleton High. Burton, 49, joined the district in 2015.

Traci Durrance will move from Tomlin Middle to be the principal at Plant City High. Durrance, 54, joined the district in 1993.

Brad Brooks will lead Mann Middle School, coming over from Memorial Middle, where he was an assistant principal. Brooks, 42, joined the district in 2005.

Jennifer Heinze will move from assistant principal to principal at Edison Elementary. Heinze, 40, joined the district in 2005.

Bree Beitelschies, assistant principal at Gibsonton Elementary, will become the school’s principal.

And Erin Fiallo will be the new principal at Kimbell Elementary, moving up from assistant principal. Fiallo, 42, joined the district in 2004.
