VALEDICTORIAN: Christopher "Kyle" Privette

SALUTATORIAN: Shelby McConnell

SPEAKERS: JROTC Commander Sijia Chen, Pledge of Allegiance; Principal Maria L. Gsell, Senior Class President Iesha Martinez, McConnell and Privette.

SPECIAL MOMENT: The crowd erupted into cheers when Gsell announced that more than $8,000 had been raised for Lorie Asher, a senior who was unable to attend graduation after a serious car accident left her injured in the hospital.

INSPIRATION: "Spend all you have for loveliness, / Buy it and never count the cost; / For one white singing hour of peace / Count many a year of strife well lost, / And for a breath of ecstasy / Give all you have been, or could be." — McConnell quoting poet Sara Teasdale

CLASS ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 128 honor graduates, 87 Bright Futures scholarships, 16,000 hours of community service, more than $2.8 million in scholarship money.
