In what may turn out to be the marquee 2022 local race in Pasco County, Pasco County District 4 Commissioner Christina Fitzpatrick is off to a lead in fundraising over Gary Bradford, who’s challenging her in a Republican primary.

As of the end of October, Fitzpatrick reported having raised $38,320 to Bradford’s $16,930.

Fitzpatrick’s total was boosted by numerous maximum, $1,000 contributions from individuals and businesses in the real estate development industry.

Bradford reported mostly small contributions. But as a long-time Police Benevolent Association lobbyist with Tallahassee and statewide connections, he’s been a proficient political fundraiser in the past and likely will be again.
