Former St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Baker has endorsed Anna Paulina Luna in the contentious Republican primary for the 13th District congressional race.
Baker announced the endorsement in a video released Thursday.
He gave few specifics about choosing Luna over the other candidates in the race, but said he thinks she “will be a fighter.”
“Were in a tough time in America today,” he said, briefly mentioning issues including the southern border, national security, the economy, inflation and “the corruption that seems prevalent in so many places.
“For that, we need a fighter. … I believe she will be a fighter for Pinellas County and a fighter for America.
