A Florida man won the $2 million top prize from a $10 scratch-off, according to the Florida Lottery.
Akram Awad, 42, of Jacksonville, claimed the money on Monday in Tallahassee. He won the prize by playing the $2,000,000 CASHWORD Scratch-Off game, the lottery said.
Awad chose to receive his winnings in annual installments — receiving $80,000 a year for 25 years.
The lottery said that Awad purchased his winning ticket from In and Out, a ‘food store’ in Putnam County’s Crescent City.
The store will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The overall odds of winning are one-in-3.38, while the odds to win the top prize are 1-in-2,616,000.
