Pericles Procopis, 53, bought the winning ticket at a RaceTrac in Orlando, according to a release from the Florida Lottery. His ticket did not match the Mega Ball, but did match all five of the white ball numbers. The gas station will receive a $5,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
Procopsis' win comes after the $1.5 billion Mega Millions jackpot was claimed earlier this week in South Carolina. In other local lotto news, a winning $1 million ticket was sold in Tampa, and a 70-year-old Hudson woman claimed $2 million off a Powerball ticket last week.
