More meals for Hillsborough children as schools remain closed for coronavirus

TAMPA — With hundreds of thousands of children out of school for the foreseeable future, the nonprofit Feeding Tampa Bay announced a series of locations, in addition to the 23 public schools, where kids can eat lunch or dinner; and take home breakfast for the following day.

Most of the meal programs begin on Monday, the same day the Hillsborough County School district will begin its distribution.

The Feeding Tampa Bay sites are:

Town N Country Boys and Girls Club, 6039 Hanley Rd, 10 - 11 a.m.

Dover Boys and Girls Club, 2820 Gallagher Rd, Dover, 10 - 11 am.

Vinik Boys and Girls Club, 7605 Destin Dr, Tampa, 2 - 3 p.m.

Trinity Cafe, 2202 E Busch Blvd, Tampa, 4 - 5 p.m.

Trinity Cafe, 2801 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, 4-5 p.m.

Feeding Tampa Bay, 4702 Transport Drive bldg 6, Tampa, 11 - 12 pm.

Carey Family of Brandon Boys and Girls Club, 510 E Sadie St, Brandon, 12-1 pm.

Again, “grab-and-go” meals will be distributed at these schools:
