On Monday, everyone at the Tampa Bay Times started working from home.

Reporters are watching virtual government press conferences and editors are holding Zoom meetings. Print pages are being laid out from desktops set up on kitchen tables. And parts of this very podcast are being recorded in a closet.

Needless to say, this is truly unprecedented for journalists, whose jobs greatly depend on being out in the community. So on this episode, Coronavirus in Florida host Allison Graves talked with Times editor Mark Katches about coronavirus’ impact on our news coverage.

We don’t have a set schedule for the Coronavirus in Florida podcast, but we will publish more episodes in the coming weeks. You can listen to the latest episode by clicking the “play” button in the audio player above or by downloading it on your favorite podcast platform.
