The Florida State-Duke men’s basketball game scheduled for Saturday night was called off late Friday because of coronavirus issues with the Seminoles, the ACC said.
The action followed a positive test, subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Florida State program, the conference said.
No other information was provided.
The announcement was made hours after No. 20 Duke said coach Mike Krzyzewski would sit out against No. 18 Florida State after coming into close contact with a person who tested positive for the virus.
Krzyzewski, 73, and his wife, Mickie, did not travel with the team to Tallahassee on Friday. Neither Mike nor Mickie has tested positive for the virus. They were in contact with a person who was not part of Duke’s travel party, thus the move to keep them away from the rest of the Blue Devils players and staff.
