Hillsborough to open coronavirus vaccine site for health care workers

Local physicians, dentists, receptionists and other medical professionals can make appointments online for shots at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa.

Hillsborough County is opening a new vaccine site for healthcare workers only Wednesday at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Tampa, with appointments available through online registration.

A wide range of healthcare workers are eligible for the vaccines, from physicians and emergency medical technicians to home health providers, dentists, healthcare office receptionists and therapists, among other professionals.

In order to qualify for a vaccine, one must register online and present proof of eligibility on site.

Acceptable forms of identification include medical licenses, organizational identification cards, employee paystubs at a health care facility, a W-2 IRS form showing employment at a healthcare organization or a letter verifying employment on the organization’s letterhead.

To make an appointment, create an account at patientportalfl.com. Following registration, healthcare workers will be able to access available appointment times by entering the scheduling code, RADICE03.
