Veteran comic and podcaster Joe Rogan says he tested positive COVID-19 just days after he performed in Tampa.
Rogan, who hosts the popular Spotify podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, posted a video to his official Instagram account Wednesday to announce he has the coronavirus.
Rogan said he wasn’t feeling well when he returned home from the road Saturday night. “Throughout the night, I got fevers and sweats and I knew what was going on,” he said. The following morning, he tested positive for COVID, Rogan said.
“We immediately threw the kitchen sink at it,” he said. “All kinds of meds. Monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone — everything. And I also got an NAD drip and a vitamin drip. I did that three days in a row, and so here we are on Wednesday and I feel great.”
News of his coronavirus diagnosis comes months after the podcaster came under fire for comments he made in April suggesting that young, healthy people didn’t need to get a COVID vaccination.
Rogan performed at Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Friday night.
