"Couldn't you throw a Snickers in my mouth or something," Sean Hopkins, 31, of Bradenton joked to a fellow runner as he lay on the pavement near the finish line of the J. West Prostate Cancer Inaugural 8k. Hopkins finished second in 27:15. The race was held in Gulfport on Jan. 3. Proceeds go towards blood screenings for the public and to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
