Northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Hernando County were closed early Friday morning after a semi-trailer caught fire.
According to Hernando County Fire Rescue, firefighters responding to a 911 call about a motor-vehicle crash near mile marker 303 arrived to find a semi-trailer on fire.
Initial reports were that the truck had been involved in a crash, rolled onto its side and caught fire.
Crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire and minimize the spread of fuel.
Approximately 150 gallons of diesel fuel leaked onto the roadway, according to Fire Rescue.
Northbound lanes that had been closed were reopened once the scene was under control.
The driver of the truck was able to exit the vehicle on his own before crews arrived.
There were no reported injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
