Hernando parks, beaches to reopen

Hernando County Commissioners voted on Tuesday to re-open all Hernando County park and beach locations, including Alfred McKethan/Pine Island Park and the Rogers Park beach area, beginning Wednesday. No organized sports, events or large gatherings will be permitted. Rentals of county buildings and pavilions will not be permitted.

Residents are encouraged to follow the Centers for Disease Control guidelines and restrictions while visiting Hernando County park locations, including staying at least 6 feet from one another.
