One person is dead, another was shot and a 13-month-old baby was likely grazed by a bullet after a shooting in South Brooksville Wednesday night, according to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 8 p.m., residents on Twigg Street called to report a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found one person dead. Deputies did not release any identifying information about those involved in the shooting.
One other person was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound, according to deputies.
The 13-month-old found at the crime scene had a cut on their stomach, likely from being grazed with a bullet, deputies said.
