Spring Hill man, 25, killed after missing curve, driving into power pole

SPRING HILL — A 25-year old Spring Hill man died Thursday morning after he missed a curve in the roadway and drove into a power pole, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred at 6:23 a.m. at Elgin Boulevard and Fenian Drive in Spring Hill.

The man was driving west on Elgin in a sport utility vehicle when he failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a power pole in the north shoulder. He died later from his injuries.

The Highway Patrol did not release the man’s name.
