PLANT CITY — A 55-year-old man died Tuesday after he crashed his motorcycle into the back of an SUV, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Guy Oldenburg, of Plant City, was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle west on U.S. 92 approaching Gordon Road at about 10 p.m. Traffic ahead of him was slowing down, troopers said, but the motorcyclist failed to slow down. He ended up crashing into the back of a 2009 Chevrolet Traverse.

Oldenburg died from his injuries at the scene. He was wearing his helmet at the time, troopers said. The driver of the Chevrolet and a passenger were not injured in the crash. No charges are pending in this incident.
