TAMPA — A semitrailer truck carrying mail crashed on an Interstate 4 exit ramp to Interstate 275 early Monday, blocking both lanes on the ramp for more than 90 minutes, troopers said.

A 58-year-old Jacksonville man driving the truck west on I-4 tried to exit onto I-275 shortly before 4 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. While on the ramp, the driver lost control and the truck jackknifed, struck the concrete barrier walls and came to a stop blocking both lanes.

The driver was treated for minor injuries, troopers said. The load of U.S. mail remained secure during the crash. Crews removed the truck about 5:40 a.m.
