TAMPA — Deputies are investigating after two people were found dead at a business in Progress Village early Thursday.
Deputies dispatched just after midnight to the 100 block of Pelican Creek Circle found two people dead outside a business, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. Both victims had upper body trauma.
Investigators believe the incident is isolated and there is no threat to the public. Detectives were collecting evidence to “determine what led to these deaths and who is behind the attack,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement.
“Given that this crime occurred in an isolated area, in the middle of the night, finding witnesses will be a challenge, which makes it imperative for anyone who saw or heard anything to please come forward,” Chronister said.
The Sheriff’s Office asked anyone with information on the case to call 813-247-8200.
