Lithia man, 51, dies after crashing into concrete wall on I-75

Florida Highway Patrol says he was not wearing a seatbelt, and it is unknown why he lost control.

A Lithia man died on Interstate 75 Saturday morning, according to a statement from Florida Highway Patrol.

The 51-year-old driver was traveling north on the I-75 ramp to the Selmon Expressway when he lost control of the vehicle, law enforcement said, and crashed into a concrete wall. The Florida Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a seatbelt and did not report how he lost control.

Law enforcement said he died at the scene of the crash.
