Homicide investigation launched after woman’s body found in Dover

A death investigation has turned into a homicide probe following the discovery of a woman’s body in Dover on Wednesday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said.

The body was found with upper body trauma about 10:15 a.m. in the 9400 block of McIntosh Road, deputies said. The woman has been identified but the Sheriff’s Office did not release her name.

The Sheriff’s Office released photos Thursday evening of a person of interest and a vehicle that may be connected to the case.

The man is approximately 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was captured on surveillance video wearing dark blue jeans, a black hoodie, black Nike shoes and a black baseball cap, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The vehicle of interest is a black two-door Dodge Ram pickup truck. The vehicle’s front right headlight is out, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
