As part of an ongoing equity profile, Hillsborough County wants to hear from residents on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues affecting their quality of life.
Public input and strategic analysis will be used to made recommendations to Hillsborough commissioners on how to include an “equity lens” in their decisions.
County officials said they need feedback from as many community perspectives as possible. Specifically, the county is seeking residents’ input on inequities in economic opportunity, housing, land use/zoning, transportation, digital access, health care, criminal justice and food security.
Residents can provide feedback via upcoming listening sessions or by telephone or email.
There will be an in-person listening session 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11 at the C. Blythe Andrews, Jr. Library 2607 E. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. Tampa. A virtual session is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon on the same day. The Zoom identification is 860 1899 0754 with the pass code of 915210. Residents also can call (301) 715-8592 and use the same meeting identification number.
The county also will accept voicemail messages round the clock until Jan. 31 at (813) 327-4716, or send email to hillsboroughequityprofile@mgtconsulting.com
The county encouraged residents to participate with family members and to get feedback from neighbors and friends to include in their input.
