Xcenda assembles comfort kits for All Children's
About 300 associates of Xcenda, a part of AmerisourceBergen, in partnership with Family Reach, a nonprofit organization that helps families impacted by cancer manage financial barriers, created 1,000 comfort kits that will be distributed to kids and families at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. The comfort kits will go to kids waiting for procedures, families of children receiving inpatient care and children receiving outpatient care, such as chemotherapy. Associates will use supplies provided by Xcenda to assemble activity kits with games, puzzles and other comforting items that help kids be kids while staying at the hospital or waiting for treatment.
Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital names new VP of Government and Community Affairs
Kimberly Berfield, a former deputy secretary of the Florida Department of Health and state representative from Clearwater, has been appointed vice president, government and community affairs for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Following her work for the state, Berfield worked for Primerica and Wellcare Health Plans.. Her duties included developing and implementing multi-year business plans, building and maintaining collaborative relationships and providing strategic counsel in the government relations arena.
