From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 12 boats got ready for the boat parade and then lined up beside the public docks at the Sail beside the Tampa Convention Center to begin their parade route to Channelside for the fireworks and then back to the Sail for a boat decorating contest. The free event was kicked off at 6 p.m. with live music at two different locations, the Sail Pavilion and Channelside, and followed by a fireworks show on the water at 8:30 p.m.
