First Malayan tiger cub emerges from Lowry Park Zoo den with her mother (w/video)

Malayan tiger Bzui and her cub Berisi play in their exhibit at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, on Wednesday. Berisi was born on Sept. 11, and kept in a den off the exhibit while Bzui bonded and cared for her. Wednesday was the first time Berisi entered the Malayan tiger habitat. After nearly three months of bonding and nursing time, the first Malayan tiger cub emerged from her den at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo with her mother. The cub, named Berisi (meaning "plump"), has grown larger and more curious, and while remaining close to mom, has entered the zoo's tiger habitat.
