Homegoing service for three St. Petersburg sisters killed in car crash moved to larger church

ST. PETERSBURG — The family of three sisters who died in a car crash in De Soto County on Sunday has moved a homegoing service on Saturday to the First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg on Gandy Boulevard in anticipation of large crowds.

Tehira Welch, 18; India Welch, 24; and LaMour Welch, 29, died in the crash along with their friend, Antwayne Robinson, 25, of Garner, N.C., and the driver of the pickup that hit them, Jennifer Zuniga, 30, of Venus.

Additionally, the family has created an online fundraising website to defray funeral costs at: Cash or checks can be sent to any TD Bank payable to the Welch Angels Fund.

Lamour Welch had three children. The family has set up a scholarship fund at Achieva Credit Union c/o C & M Welch Foundation, 3629 11th Ave. N in St. Petersburg.
