Hometown Pasco for May 13

Rotarians support Pak-a-Sak: The Rotary Club of New Port Richey recently participated in the annual Hunger Walk at Gulf High School to help raise funds for children — in particular to benefit the club’s Pak-a-Sak project. As part of Rotary Has Heart, the club was a $2,500 sponsor of the event so children at Anclote Elementary School can continue to receive weekend meals through Pak-a-Sak 4 Kids. Bill Bunting, a director on the club’s board, represented the club at the walk, a collaborative effort through One Community Now to promote hunger awareness and raise money for hunger relief for children and families living in Pasco County. The Pak-a-Sak program sends close to 500 backpacks of food home each weekend with students in Pasco County schools. Bunting is shown standing in the center wearing shorts, with the Hunger Walk team.
