Privateer 'Lynx' calls upon Tampa

The privateer Lynx docked at the Tampa Convention Center on Wednesday, where it will be available for tours and excursions through next Wednesday. The 122-foot-long, 94-foot-tall square topsail schooner, which bills itself as a living American history museum, then sails to St. Petersburg, where it will dock from Jan. 23 to Feb. 16. For more information and tickets, ranging from $10 for tours to $85 for a day sail between the two cities, visit privateerlynx.com. The Lynx will be in the Tampa Bay area through March.
